of Learning & Achievement

About Us

The Lazar Center of Learning & Achievement is an exclusive tutoring center that was created for families who are committed to their child's education. Each session focuses on building confidence, motivation, concentration, and learning. We initiate continuous communication between parents and classroom teachers to ensure that the progress made at The Lazar Center is translated into the classroom and into the home. The Lazar Center of Learning & Achievement provides a consistent, friendly and enthusiastic atmosphere that makes each child excited and motivated to attend.

Throughout the academic school year, each session addresses the following
(this outline is individualized for each student)
:

  • Daily classroom objectives have been reviewed
  • Homework is complete and checked for accuracy
  • Upcoming projects and exams have been addressed and assigned a time line for completion
  • Students are given strategies to use for new and upcoming curriculum, and then they are given an opportunity to apply these strategies
  • Parents are informed of progress and any additional information they may need before they leave

Families of the Lazar Center of Learning & Achievement are free to enjoy their afternoons together confident that their child is prepared for upcoming lessons, assignments and assessments without the stress and worries of homework frustration.

Summer tutoring:

  • Objectives and curriculum from the previous school year are applied and enriched to ensure retention
  • Objectives for the upcoming school year are introduced, and strategies for applying them are discovered and practiced
  • Students will use a variety of resources such as technology, games, and manipulatives to discover unique learning strategies
  • Students master major components of curriculum for the upcoming school year
